MRI has the potential to significantly
improve prostate cancer treatment and management by
providing information about the presence and extent of the
disease.
MRI can also look at the response to
treatment. This information is important because prostate
cancer is a common disease that has a variable range of
activity in individual patients.
SimonMed uses specialized techniques that
are not yet widely available to obtain information about the
prostate. This is an active area of research.
Special Preparation
Avoid solid food four hours prior to the exam.
